Folk Patterns Co-Hosting session with Citla Flores from The Sketchbook Games!
This Thursday at 2pm est we are gathering our paints and diving into elements of folklore to create patterns together.
Hello Everyone,
I am joining
in a co-hosting painting session to paint folk patterns. It will happen this Thursday at 2pm est . ( link below) has a wonderful Substack Newsletter called The Sketchbook Games.She always dives really deep into her monthly subject matters, whether it be colour, composition, old masters annd much much more and now Folktales. She has written a wonderful post about how she embraces her culture and stories from where she was born, and how she is making her own Children’s book creating her characters from her imagination many different sources .
On Thursday we will incorporate folk elements into daily life objects and spaces. HERE is a link to Citla’s Pinterest board which she has been curating full of Folktale inspiration.
